Following the arrests, angry community members stormed the area and set ablaze properties belonging to the suspects, including luxury cars believed to have been acquired through criminal proceeds.

Authorities disclosed that both Naira and US dollar notes were recovered from the hideout, pointing to the suspects’ possible involvement in high-profile kidnapping and ransom operations.

The raid is part of a wider security campaign launched by the Kwara State government to flush out criminal elements and dismantle kidnappers’ camps across parts of Ekiti and surrounding areas. Multiple arrests have already been made under this initiative.

Security agencies have urged residents to remain vigilant and continue to provide intelligence that could aid in the fight against banditry and kidnapping in the state
