Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) paid a touching tribute on Monday to honor three of its former housemates who have passed away: Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey.
During the ceremony, current season contestants gathered as images of the late stars were displayed on a large screen, followed by a solemn minute of silence in their memory.
Francisca Owumi, the runner-up of the inaugural 2006 season, was remembered for her vibrant personality, free spirit, and love for dance. She passed away in 2024 after a long illness.
Joseph “Joe” Ada, also a 2006 housemate, was commemorated following his death in May 2023, which came after health-related struggles.
Rico Swavey, born Patrick Fakoya and a participant in the 2018 “Double Wahala” season, was honored for his creativity and calm demeanor. He tragically lost his life in a car accident in 2022.
The tribute highlighted the lasting impact these personalities had on BBNaija fans and the reality TV community, celebrating their contributions and the joy they brought to audiences over the years.
