A female student of the Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, Ogun State, Nigeria, has been mercilessly beaten by her fellow students over allegations of snatching boyfriend.
According to a video obtained by DAILY OBSERVER, several female students were seen with long, thick canes flogging the victim.
The students claimed that their parents were aware of their inhumane behavior, saying they didn’t care about who the victim reported the incident to.
According to the video, the victim was left with visible injuries on her head and back, despite other students pleading with one or the attackers, identified as Lolade, to stop the assault.
One of the attackers, Lolade, maintained that the beating was meant to tea h the victim a lesson.
This incident was affirmed by the men of Nigerian police, Ogun State police command .
Reacting to the video, the Ogun State Police Command, the Igebsa Divisional Police Officer, stated that it has launched an investigation to assure what occurred.
” The Ogun State Police Command is on top of the situation, and the DPO Igbesa has taken charge of the case,” the social media post by the police on X read.
