Crossdresser Bobrisky Bribe His Way With N35m To VIP Treatment While In Prison – Kirikiri Chief
By Bukola Kuteyi
Famous Nigerian crossdresser, simply identified as Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, naira mutilation case has taken a new twist in a recent town hall meeting organized by the Lagos State Police Command on April 5, 2025, during National Police Week, Chief Babalola Shabi, named “Baale No-Nonsense,” has claimed that Bobrisky smuggled eight ATM cards into the Kirikiri custodial facility.
This latest development sparked a new twist in the controversy surrounding the imprisonment of the popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, with the revelation of the Baale of Kirikiri Town.
Chief Babalola Shabi accused Nigerian Correctional Service officials of indulging bribery scheme by permitting Bobrisky to enjoy preferential treatment in the prison.
According to the Chief, he alleged that the crossdresser transfer N35 million through local Point of Sale (POS) operators, using it to bribe prison officials to help secure a private apartment rather than serve his sentence behind bars.
Recall, the controversy deepened when social critic Martins Otse, known as the VeryDarkMan, released an audio purportedly featuring Bobrisky, claiming that he paid N15 million to EFCC officials to drop a money laundering charge. In
“Most people are of the opinion that he was in Kirikiri serving his time, but he in reality Bobrisky was living comfortably outside the prison walls, thanks to a criminal collaboration involving some officials,” Shabi stated.
As proof to back this claim, exposing the scandal, he summoned the POS operators to his palace, which prompted an investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“Correctional officers allegedly worked with POS vendors to withdraw money from Bobrisky’s cards. It is a well-organized ring. The sum of N35 million was surprisingly sourced from around here so quickly, and no official is arrested yet.
He confirmed that he has been questioned by both the Departmentcof State Services (DSS) and the EFCC, and that the property where Bobrisky was allegedly housed has been identified and demolished.
