Following a viral social media video, Delta State Police Command has arrested some men of Nigerian police officers for assaulting a young man.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the arrest and detained of the officers via his official X handle.
The apprehend was carried out after an order by the command’s Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda was made.
“As an officers we will not tolerate such act, those involved will be punished, those who assaulted him will be used as an example as directed by the CP,” Edafe.
Edafe stated that that the officers involved are already detained while their team leaders have been queried.
Meanwhile, trial is set to commence on Monday, with the obvious evidence, judgment will be served.
