Francis Oke, President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), condemns attempts to downplay or deny the ongoing persecution of Christians, calling it a “desecration” of the blood of innocent Nigerians.

The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Oke, has strongly condemned those denying the widespread killings of Christians in Nigeria, describing such denials as a “dishonour to the victims” and a “desecration of their blood.”

Addressing journalists in Ibadan on Friday, Oke stated that the reality of targeted attacks against Christians and church communities across the country was undeniable.

“To every honest Nigerian, there is no controversy about whether there is genocide against the Church and Christians in Nigeria,” he declared.

According to the PFN leader, the persistent violence faced by Christian communities has reached alarming levels, and any attempt to politicize or minimize the situation only worsens national disunity.

“It would be a desecration to the blood of these Nigerians to call it any other name,” Oke emphasized. “There is not a single instance of a Christian group attacking Muslims — it is always the other way round.”

Oke urged the federal government and security agencies to intensify efforts to protect vulnerable communities and ensure justice for victims of religiously motivated violence.
