Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have raided the Green Legacy Hotel, located within the premises of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State, arresting several youths suspected of engaging in internet fraud.

The operation, carried out in the early hours of Sunday, reportedly took place during a pool party being held at the hotel. Eyewitnesses said the EFCC officials stormed the venue, disrupting the gathering before taking the suspects into custody.

The raid comes just five days after EFCC operatives from the Ibadan Zonal Directorate arrested a suspected internet fraudster in possession of two locally made pistols during a separate operation at K-Hotel, Itori, in the Ewekoro area of Ogun State. That earlier operation led to the arrest of 55 suspects in total.
