Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari’s Body to Be Repatriated from London
Arrangements are currently underway to repatriate the body of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday at approximately 4:30 PM in a clinic in London. The cause of death has not yet been made public.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, along with President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other senior officials, are in London to oversee the completion of official procedures for the release and transfer of Buhari’s remains to Nigeria.
According to Katsina State Governor Umar Radda, the late president’s body is expected to arrive in Nigeria by 12:00 PM on Tuesday. He added that Buhari will be buried in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, at 2:00 PM the same day.
The federal government has not yet issued an official statement concerning the funeral arrangements.
