Popular Fuji musician Abass “Obesere” Akande confirms plans to marry UK-based sex therapist and mental health nurse Yinka “Yinka TNT” Ayanda, with his first wife’s blessing despite public criticism.
Fuji music icon, Abass Akande Obesere, popularly known as “Obesere,” is preparing to take United Kingdom–based relationship coach and sex therapist, Yinka Ayanda, widely known as “Yinka TNT,” as his second wife.
Obesere’s manager, Arems Adeniyi, confirmed the development but declined to disclose the exact wedding date. The Fuji legend, who has been married for decades to his first wife, Abeni Tolanikawo, with whom he shares children, is now set to expand his family with the addition of Yinka TNT.
Yinka, a mental health nurse and sex therapist in the UK, has gained popularity for her work in educating audiences about sexual health, consent, and relationships. She has also built a strong online presence where she frequently engages her followers on issues around intimacy and wellbeing.
Recently, Yinka shared photos with Obesere on her social media pages and revealed plans to release a video of their traditional introduction ceremony on YouTube. Expressing her joy, she disclosed that Obesere’s first wife has given her blessing to the marriage, a development she described as a source of peace and happiness.
“Marrying Obesere has solved some of my problems,” Yinka said, adding that their union brings her immense fulfillment despite public criticism.
However, news of the marriage has sparked mixed reactions online, with some critics questioning the decision. Responding to the backlash, Yinka defended her choice, saying:
“Anyone who says they are unhappy with this marriage journey I have embarked on will never be successful. People should stop harassing me and Obesere; our union is our personal decision.”
With this forthcoming marriage, Obesere, celebrated for his unique brand of Fuji music and decades-long influence in the Nigerian entertainment industry, is once again making headlines—this time not for his music, but for his personal life.
