Inspector-General of Police commends Adejobi’s service as Force PRO, announces new posting to strengthen Delta State operations

 

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has redeployed Force PRO DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi to Delta State Command as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), citing his professionalism and leadership capacity.

 

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has approved the posting of the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, mnipr, mipra, fCAI, as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Department of Operations, Delta State Command.

 

The redeployment, according to the Force Headquarters, reflects the confidence of the police leadership in DCP Adejobi’s professional competence, operational experience, and capacity to enhance security strategies in the state.

 

In a statement on Wednesday, the IGP commended Adejobi for his outstanding service as Force PRO, where he played a pivotal role in repositioning the image of the Nigeria Police Force through effective communication and public engagement.

 

Egbetokun described Adejobi’s tenure as “marked by professionalism, dedication, and innovation,” expressing optimism that he would replicate the same commitment in his new assignment in Delta State.

 

Meanwhile, the Force Headquarters disclosed that arrangements are being finalized for the appointment of a new Force Public Relations Officer who will continue to drive the communication policies of the Police.
