Libyan Police Nab Human Trafficker Caught With Four Nigerian Women, Three Children
On Monday, May 19, 2025, the Libyan police apprehended a driver caught smuggling four Nigerian women and three children during inspection near the Ashkada-Sabha Triangle Gate.
According to information, the trafficer tried to bribe officers to let him go, but the police officers refused.
It was noted that the driver and the Nigerian nationals have been transferred to Al-Shatti Security Directorate for further legal action.
” Police during inspection at the Ashkada – Sabha Triangle Gate foiled an attempted human smuggling and apprehended a Lybian driver ( Y.A.M.Y, born in 1993 ) who transported 4 illegal female migrants and 3 children of Nigeria nationality. ” Migrant Rescue Watch stated.
” During inspection, the driver offered a bribe to men of the police officers in an attempt to evade accountability. All transferred to the Security Directorate pending referral to competent judicial authorities” it added.
