LAGOS — Renowned Nollywood actor Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, popularly known as Lalude, has accused Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, of reneging on a financial promise made to entertainers who supported the 2023 presidential campaign of Bola Tinubu and Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In a candid interview on the Beyond the Fame podcast, the veteran Yoruba actor alleged that MC Oluomo—Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages—had promised ₦1.5 million each to a group of actors mobilised to campaign for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). However, according to Lalude, no payments were made after weeks of rigorous campaign work.
“We campaigned for over seven weeks,” Lalude said. “Initially, we were given ₦10,000 daily for feeding, but even that stopped abruptly. We trekked every day while MC Oluomo drove past in his car. After everything, we were abandoned.”
The actor, known for his traditional roles in Yoruba cinema, said the group included veteran comic actor Ganiu ‘Alapini’ Nafiu, among others. “MC Oluomo personally called us and asked us to name our price. He promised ₦1.5 million each to me and Alapini
