Violent confrontation between rival Nigerian cult groups leaves multiple injured, police shut down Palladium nightclub linked to drug trade.

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Tensions flared in Geneva after a violent clash between rival Nigerian cult groups, the Aye Confraternity (Eiye) and De Norsemen Kclub International (Vikings), which left several members hospitalized and prompted a police crackdown on a known drug hotspot.

The confrontation, which unfolded in the Palladium area, began as a drug-related dispute. According to eyewitnesses, an Eiye member from France supplied narcotics to a Vikings member in Switzerland, who allegedly failed to pay after making sales. The debt triggered a series of retaliations when the Eiye man called on his associates in Geneva to confront the Vikings member at his workplace.

What started as a heated argument quickly escalated when two Vikings members armed with machetes attacked the Eiye men, injuring two. In response, Eiye members regrouped and launched a large-scale retaliation, storming Palladium with weapons. Videos circulating online show Eiye members attacking Vikings in the area and later moving into a nightclub known as Louze at Palladium, where more violence erupted.

At least three Vikings members were hospitalized, including the individual accused of withholding drug proceeds, who reportedly sustained severe injuries.

In the aftermath, Swiss police shut down Louze nightclub, describing it as a hub for Nigerian drug-related activities. Authorities have also intensified surveillance in the area to prevent further clashes.

Notably, sources revealed that all the men directly involved in the incident hail from Uromi, Esan Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria—underscoring the export of Nigerian cult rivalries into Europe.

Residents in Geneva’s Nigerian community have been urged to stay safe and reject cultism, as security agencies continue to investigate the violent incident.
