Nigerian Army Warns Against Fake 90th Regular Intake Recruitment – Avoid Scams

 

The Nigerian Army has officially dismissed circulating reports on social media suggesting the commencement of recruitment for the 90th Regular Intake, describing the adverts as false and misleading.

 

In a statement released on Saturday, 6 September, 2025, Captain AU Hammanga, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations Directorate of Recruitment, urged the public to ignore these viral notices entirely. He emphasized that the Nigerian Army has not announced any ongoing recruitment and that prospective applicants should await official updates through verified channels.

“The Nigerian Army maintains a dedicated and transparent website for all recruitment information,” the statement read, stressing that applicants should rely solely on credible sources to avoid falling victim to scams.

 

The Army also issued a stern warning to fraudsters exploiting the fake recruitment announcements. “Those behind these deceptive activities are advised to desist immediately or face appropriate consequences,” the statement added. It further reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to transparency and professionalism in all recruitment processes.

 

Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious recruitment activities and remain vigilant against individuals or groups falsely posing as recruitment agents. The Nigerian Army reiterated its dedication to maintaining integrity in all its recruitment operations.
