In a deeply emotional appeal, the family of Akinseye Fadekemi, a Nigerian woman battling a life-threatening heart condition, is urgently seeking N3 million for surgery to save her life.
A heartbreaking video obtained by Daily Observer shows Fadekemi lying weakly on a hospital bed at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), whose stomach appears swollen—reportedly due to complications. Her young son seated beside her, visibly distressed. The boy, stemming from his mother’s condition—narrates their desperate plight.
“The doctor said we have just two days to raise 3 million naira. They said her heart is enlarged, and it’s affecting her stomach. Please, no amount is too small. Even if all you can do is repost this, I will be grateful,” the son pleads tearfully in the video.
According to the family, LASUTH has given a strict 48-hour deadline to secure the funds needed for an emergency operation. With time running out, they are calling on kind-hearted Nigerians to step in and help them avoid an avoidable tragedy.
