Ex-Mauritius hotel worker allegedly defraud fellow Nigerians
David Okorie, a Nigerian national deported from Mauritius earlier this year, is now wanted for allegedly defrauding a fellow Nigerian of N3.7 million.
Okorie previously worked at a hotel in Mauritius but was arrested by immigration authorities for illegal employment. Reports gathered by Daily Observer reveal that he also engaged in fraudulent activities targeting Nigerians abroad.
Reports indicate that Okorie falsely claimed to be a student at Amity Institute of Higher Education, Mauritius, affiliated with Amity University in India. While in Mauritius, he reportedly posed as a travel agent offering job placement services for Nigerians. In one alleged scam, he used a fake permit document to secure hotel employment for a Nigerian woman, collecting hundreds of thousands of naira.

However, the public are thereby warned not to engage in any business with David Okorie, who is currently wanted for fraud. Nigerians are urged to report any information regarding his whereabouts to the appropriate authorities.
