Three Americans Convicted For Failed Democratic Republic of Congo Coup Repatriated To US After Mineral Deal

Following the involvement of the USA president Trump in talk with DR Congo about minerals deal, and could be involved in multibillion dollars investments, the Democratic Republic of Congo has sent three Americans  convicted for their role in a failed coup back to USA.

The three American convicts, simply identified as Marcel Malanga Malu, Tylor Thomson, and Zalman Polun Benjamin, were originally sentenced to death by a military court before their sentences were reduced to life in prisonment following the involvement of president Trump.

According to information, it was noted that the earlier death sentence melted on the three Americans were removed following a visit to DR Congo by US President Donald Trump’s senior adviser for Africa, where they discussed about multibillion dollars minerals deals.

It was noted that DR Congo has a large amount of Coltan and cobalt, used in electronic equipment and batteries for electric cars, which are currently extracted by Chinese mining companies. 

However, following the mineral deal, the three convicted USA citizens were escorted to N’Djili International Airport in Kinshasa and took them back to the USA.
