Tinubu Orders Immediate Employment for All Children of Late FCT Civil Service Head
President Bola Tinubu has directed the Federal Capital Territory Administration to employ all four children of the late Grace Adayilo, Head of the FCT Civil Service, as part of measures to support her bereaved family.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate employment of all four children of the late Mrs. Grace Adayilo, Head of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Civil Service, who passed away on September 1, 2025.
The announcement was made by the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, during the funeral service held at the National Christian Centre (Ecumenical), Abuja, on Saturday.
Wike explained that the President’s directive was a compassionate gesture aimed at easing the burden on the family following the loss of their breadwinner.
In a moving tribute, the minister described the late Adayilo, fondly known as “Mama Africa”, as a committed, humble, and loyal civil servant whose sudden death has left a deep void in the FCT Administration.
“We all know that death is inevitable, but there are certain deaths that bring greater pain. It becomes even more heartbreaking when someone you work with, someone who serves diligently, is suddenly gone without warning,” Wike remarked.
He further stressed that Adayilo’s legacy of dedication and selfless service to the nation will be remembered for years to come.
The late Grace Adayilo is survived by her four children, who will now be absorbed into the FCT Administration in line with President Tinubu’s directive.
