Tragedy As Man Falls From 26-storey Cocoa House In Nigeria, Hospitalized
It’s a sad moment on the early hours of Monday, May 3, 2025, in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, Nigeria, as a yet-to-be-identified man reportedly fell from the top floors of the 26-storey Cocoa House building.
In a statement by an eyewitness, he stated that when the incident occurred, he thought it was a bird falling from the sky
“When the incident occurred, I initially thought it was a big bird falling from the sky. I realized it’s a human being when the person landed. ” he said
“My phone was with me, but I can’t record or take a picture. I’m so panic and shocked, ” he added.
In a statement by another eyewitness, the victim first hit a roof beside the security post of the tall building before landing on the floor. It was so terrifying sight.
The sad incident was affirmed by the Odu’s Investment Company Limited, the firm maintaining the tall building, Cimoca House.
Victor Ayetoro, the head of braiding and communication of the company, stated that the person involved in the incident was swiftly attended to by the emergency response team and taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, for urgent medical attention.
However, the company expressed deep concerns over the development and assured the public of its full cooperation with the state government during ongoing investigation to ensure what cause the fall.
