Kannywood Group Plans 1,101 Qur’an Recitations for Tinubu, APC’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

Actors’ prayer coalition says spiritual campaign aims to secure divine backing, national stability, and continuity of the Tinubu-Shettima administration

A coalition of Kannywood actors and political supporters has unveiled plans to embark on an extensive spiritual campaign aimed at backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Operating under the banner of the Prayer Committee for Tinubu Supporting Film Association—popularly known as Triple R Kannywood For Hope Renewed—the group said it would recite the Qur’an 1,101 times as part of efforts to seek divine intervention for the ruling party’s electoral success.

The announcement was made during the group’s 111th special prayer session, organised to support the continuation of the Tinubu-Kashim administration beyond its current term.

The gathering featured worship activities and collective prayers, with attendees offering supplications for President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the APC-led government.

According to reports by Dokin Karfe TV, the initiative is intended not only to pray for electoral victory but also to promote peace, unity, and national development.

Speaking at the event, the committee’s leader emphasised that the effort is rooted in seeking Allah’s guidance and sustaining the current administration across all levels of governance.

“The aim of this Qur’anic recitation is to ask Almighty Allah to uphold and strengthen the APC government from top to bottom,” the leader said.

The group expressed confidence that sustained prayers would contribute to stability and progress in the country while boosting the prospects of the ruling party in the next presidential election cycle.
