Hajiya Umma, mother of Nasir El-Rufai, passes away following age-related health complications amid family turmoil

The former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has mourned the loss of his mother, Hajiya Umma, who passed away on Friday. The family confirmed her death on the same day.

Hajiya Umma had been battling age-related health challenges, which reportedly worsened in recent times. Sources indicate that her condition deteriorated further after she learned of her son’s detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

El-Rufai had been closely overseeing his mother’s care before her passing. In a statement, the family prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
