Galatasaray Reject €125m Bid for Osimhen, Stand Firm Amid Transfer Frenzy

Turkish champions resist growing interest from Europe’s elite as they move to secure the Nigerian striker’s long-term future.

Galatasaray have rejected a €125 million bid for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, underlining their determination to keep the Super Eagles star despite mounting interest from Europe’s top clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Turkish champions are reported to have turned down the offer after previously dismissing a €120 million approach from Atletico Madrid, making clear they will not entertain bids below their valuation.

Osimhen, 27, has attracted attention from clubs including Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, all of whom are closely monitoring his situation as the transfer window approaches.

Galatasaray’s firm stance is largely driven by the striker’s outstanding form since arriving in Istanbul. The former Napoli forward has scored 59 goals in 74 appearances, including 15 league goals and five assists this season, along with seven goals and three assists in the UEFA Champions League.

The club’s resolve has been further strengthened by the expected departure of Argentine forward Mauro Icardi at the end of June. Galatasaray are keen to avoid losing two key attackers in the same window as they aim to remain competitive both domestically and in Europe.

In a bid to convince Osimhen to stay, the club are reportedly prepared to offer him the captain’s armband and the iconic No. 9 jersey, currently worn by Icardi—moves seen as a clear signal of his importance to their long-term project.

While Osimhen has publicly expressed his affection for life in Istanbul and openness to staying, sustained interest from Europe’s biggest clubs means speculation over his future is likely to continue throughout the transfer window.
