Police arrest a production crew member as investigations begin into the deaths of lighting director Ekemini “GeeTee” Imeh and colleague Ayodeji Odediran at a Lekki film location.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the deaths of two Nollywood production crew members who were found lifeless at a film location in Lekki, Lagos.

The bodies were discovered inside a parked vehicle at a movie set within the premises of Evercare Hospital, Lekki.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abimbola Adebisi, said the suspect is a member of the production crew who allegedly delivered food to the victims shortly before they were found dead.

“One suspect has been arrested. The suspect was the individual who delivered food to the victims while they were inside the vehicle. Investigations are ongoing,” Adebisi said.

The deceased have been identified as lighting director Ekemini “GeeTee” Imeh and his colleague, Ayodeji Walter Odediran.

They were found dead on Saturday, February 7, at the filming location in Lekki.

According to a police source who spoke on condition of anonymity, the two crew members arrived early at the set to install lighting equipment ahead of the shoot.

After completing the setup, they reportedly entered a tinted Nissan vehicle parked within the premises to rest while awaiting further production activities.

“When filming wrapped up around 8pm, the crew went to check on them and found them lifeless inside the vehicle,” the source said.

The source added that both men were reportedly foaming at the mouth, with one showing blood stains around the nose and lips.

The incident has been confirmed by the Lagos State Police Command, and the case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
