Police probe claims ex-royal trade envoy shared confidential government documents with Jeffrey Epstein

Britain’s former Prince Andrew, brother to King Charles III, has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, according to police sources.

The allegations relate to Andrew’s tenure as the United Kingdom’s trade envoy before 2011. Investigators are examining claims that he forwarded confidential trade-related documents to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, raising concerns over the possible misuse of sensitive government information.

Authorities are also reviewing earlier allegations linked to Epstein, including claims that a woman was trafficked to the UK for a sexual encounter involving Andrew. Those allegations remain under investigation.

Prince Andrew, formally known as Andrew Albert Christian Edward Mountbatten-Windsor, has consistently denied all accusations against him. He has previously stated that he neither witnessed nor suspected any criminal behavior associated with Epstein and has not issued a public statement regarding the latest misconduct allegations.

Police say inquiries are ongoing.
