Dunamis pastor warns against electoral malpractice, urges integrity and citizen resistance to imposed leadership
Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has issued a blunt warning to Nigeria’s political class, urging them to abandon desperation for power as the 2027 general elections approach.
In a strongly worded message, Enenche condemned electoral malpractice, including vote-buying, rigging, and political violence, stressing that leadership must reflect the genuine choice of the people—not be forced through manipulation or coercion.
He questioned the rationale behind seeking authority from citizens who have clearly rejected certain candidates, insisting that true leadership is earned through acceptance, trust, and service.
The cleric warned that the use of violence to secure power not only undermines democracy but also endangers the nation’s stability. He called on political actors to embrace integrity, accountability, and respect for the electoral process.
Enenche also challenged Nigerians—particularly religious and community leaders—to speak out against injustice, noting that silence in the face of wrongdoing enables the erosion of democratic values.
He urged citizens to become more active in defending the nation’s future, adding that those responsible for past governance failures should not be recycled into positions of power.
The pastor expressed hope that Nigeria can break free from a history of flawed leadership, insisting that the next electoral cycle must mark a turning point driven by the will of the people.
