Anti-graft agency urges public to provide information as recently appointed South-West zonal leader faces accusations of obtaining money by false pretence.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, a women leader of the City Boys Movement, wanted over an alleged fraud case.
In a notice released on Monday via its official X handle, the anti-graft agency said Tejuosho is being sought in connection with a case of obtaining money by false pretence. The notice was signed by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale.
The Commission called on members of the public with credible information about her whereabouts to report to any of its offices across the country. It also urged citizens to reach out through its official phone lines or email channels, or provide information to the nearest police station or other security agencies.
Tejuosho’s declaration as wanted comes shortly after her appointment as the South-West Zonal Women Leader of the City Boys Movement.
According to the group, her role involves providing strategic leadership for women-focused initiatives in the region, including political mobilization, civic engagement, and advocacy.
