INEC-monitored affirmation across 57 wards cements her candidacy as she pledges inclusive representation and grassroots development
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially clinched the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial ticket for Kogi Central, positioning herself for the 2027 general elections.
Her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mike Idoko, confirmed that the affirmation exercise drew participation from party members and supporters across all 57 wards in the district. The process concluded with the final collation of results at Kahal Cinema in Okene.
The exercise was closely monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), alongside members of the media, ensuring credibility, transparency, and adherence to due process.
Reacting to her emergence, Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed gratitude to party faithful for their overwhelming support, describing the outcome as a strong vote of confidence in her leadership.
“This affirmation reflects the trust the people of Kogi Central have continued to place in our shared vision for progress, inclusion, and sustainable development,” she said.
She reaffirmed her commitment to effective representation, promising to remain accessible to constituents while driving policies and initiatives that will deliver lasting development across the district.
