Supreme Court Settles ADC Leadership Crisis, Affirms David Mark as National Chairman

Apex court dismisses Nafi’u Bala’s claims, declares arguments irrelevant, and brings long-running party dispute to a close

In a decisive ruling, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed Senator David Mark as the legitimate National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), ending a protracted leadership tussle within the party.

Delivering its judgment, the apex court resolved the dispute in favor of Mark, dismissing the claims brought forward by Nafi’u Bala. The court held that several arguments presented during the proceedings were immaterial and had no bearing on the substance of the case.

The verdict effectively puts to rest months of internal wrangling that had drawn widespread attention and raised concerns over stability within the ADC.

With the legal battle now settled, the ruling is expected to restore clarity to the party’s leadership structure and pave the way for its political activities ahead of future elections.
