
Five crew members and 20 passengers were aboard the Nigerian Air Force aircraft when it crashed during a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has released the full list of the 25 people who died in the crash of NAF 931, confirming that there were no survivors.
The aircraft, which was carrying five crew members and 20 passengers, was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when the accident occurred.
The victims included officers, airmen and civilian passengers. Their deaths have cast a pall over the Nigerian Air Force and the families of those on board.

The Nigerian Air Force said it would continue to provide timely and verified information as investigations into the crash progress.
The service also appealed to members of the public to refrain from speculation and the circulation of unverified reports, while urging respect for the privacy and dignity of the bereaved families.
Condolence register opened
A condolence register has been opened at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force in Abuja for senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, heads of security agencies and other well-wishers wishing to pay their respects.
The register will also provide an avenue for mourners to convey messages of sympathy to the families of the deceased and the Nigerian Air Force.
The statement was signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, Abuja, and dated October 6, 2026.
The crash has left 25 families mourning the loss of their loved ones, while the Nigerian Air Force continues efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
