Nollywood veteran slams cabinet as “liabilities,” says many ministers lack visibility and impact, while also reacting to Shaffy Bello’s heartfelt praise of his talent.

Veteran Nollywood actor Charles Inojie has launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, branding many of the ministers as “miserably incompetent” and ineffective in delivering on their mandates.

In a strongly worded social media post, the actor did not hold back, accusing a majority of the ministers of being more of a burden than an asset to both the government and the Nigerian people.

According to Inojie, the lack of visibility and impact among cabinet members is so glaring that many Nigerians cannot even identify who holds specific ministerial portfolios. He argued that, aside from a negligible few, most of the ministers have failed to distinguish themselves in office.

He further alleged that some members of the cabinet resort to appearing at political campaign rallies as a way of projecting relevance, rather than demonstrating tangible performance in governance.

Inojie wrote that the situation reflects the current state of the nation, describing many of the ministers as “wayfarers and liabilities” who have not lived up to expectations.

Meanwhile, on a lighter note, the actor recently expressed deep appreciation after fellow Nollywood star Shaffy Bello publicly praised his talent.

During an interview with media personality VJ Adams, Bello named the late Sam Loco as her favourite Nollywood comic actor and Samuel L. Jackson as her top Hollywood pick. She also singled out Inojie for commendation, describing his acting ability as natural and impossible to replicate through training.

Reacting to the praise on Instagram, Inojie said he was left speechless by the recognition from such a respected and accomplished colleague, describing it as one of the most meaningful compliments he has received.

He added that Bello’s remarks stand out as one of his most cherished New Year gifts, underscoring the value he places on validation from industry peers.
