Oba Kehinde Jacob Falodun of Alagamo community abducted and murdered as security agencies launch urgent manhunt

Akure, Ondo State – Oba Kehinde Jacob Falodun, the monarch of Alagamo community in Akure North Local Government Area, was abducted and killed by suspected armed bandits on Tuesday evening.

The attackers reportedly stormed the monarch’s residence and forcefully took him away. His body was later discovered a short distance from his home, with fatal injuries. Security officials confirmed his death at the scene.

The Ondo State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the perpetrators. Tactical teams, local hunters, Amotekun operatives, and other security units have been deployed to track down the attackers and secure the area. Police have urged residents with information to come forward.

The attack comes amid rising insecurity in parts of southwestern Nigeria, where armed groups have increasingly targeted communities, including attempts to abduct traditional leaders and attack security posts.
