Palace of the Arujale-Ojime of Okeluse Kingdom warns residents and visitors to address Oba Oloyede Adekoya Akinghare II strictly by his royal title.

The palace of the Arujale-Ojime of Okeluse Kingdom in Ondo State has issued a stern warning against the use of informal terms such as “bro” or “blood” when addressing the 22-year-old monarch, Oba Oloyede Adekoya Akinghare II.

In a statement released by the Chief of Staff to the monarch, Prince Adefemi Olorunfemi, the palace stressed that the king must be addressed strictly as His Royal Majesty at all times. Any other form of address, the statement noted, would be regarded as disrespectful to the throne.

According to the palace, some individuals have been exploiting familiarity to address the monarch in a manner considered demeaning and contrary to established royal customs.

The statement emphasized that respect for the monarch is non-negotiable and central to the preservation of Yoruba culture, tradition, and the dignity of the Okeluse Kingdom.

The palace therefore urged residents of Okeluse Kingdom and members of the general public to uphold proper decorum and accord the monarch the honour befitting his position at all times.
