Clearlake Capital says winning major trophies and competing at the highest level will be the club’s priority as Chelsea enters a new era of ownership.

Chelsea’s new ownership group, led by Clearlake Capital, has set its sights on major trophies after completing a transition that saw Todd Boehly and Mark Walter leave their ownership positions at the Premier League club.

In a statement published on Chelsea’s official website, the new owners thanked Boehly and Walter for their contributions and said the club was entering a new chapter with a shared sense of purpose, clear direction and confidence in its future.

The ownership group said its ambition was to compete at the highest level, win major trophies and build sustained success at Stamford Bridge.

According to the statement, success on the pitch would remain the club’s top priority, with Chelsea aiming to challenge for the Premier League title and other major honours.

The new owners also outlined plans to strengthen the club commercially, with the aim of supporting continued investment in the playing squad while maintaining Chelsea’s long-term infrastructure projects.

Although Clearlake will assume responsibility for the club’s ownership, the group stressed that Chelsea’s identity remains deeply connected to its supporters.

“We will keep working to move Chelsea forward, together,” the statement said.
