Churchill Denies Marriage to Rosy Meurer, Dismisses Viral Divorce Claims as ‘False and Misleading’

Businessman insists no legal, church, or court wedding ever took place, says reports of divorce lack any legal basis

Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has pushed back strongly against viral reports claiming that his partner, Rosy Meurer, has filed for divorce, describing the narrative as entirely false and misleading.

The controversy, which gained traction across social media, sparked widespread debate over the status of their relationship and the legitimacy of the alleged marriage. But in a detailed Instagram statement, Churchill dismissed the claims outright, insisting there was never a legally recognized union between him and Meurer.

According to him, their relationship did not involve any formal marriage rites.

“There was no legally recognized marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction,” he stated, arguing that the notion of a divorce is baseless from the outset.

Churchill also questioned the credibility of the circulating reports, pointing out that he was never formally served with any legal documents, a standard requirement in legitimate divorce proceedings. He further cast doubt on the authenticity of the alleged court processes, suggesting irregularities in the reported timeline.

Taking aim at those behind the reports, he accused unnamed individuals of spreading misinformation and relying on questionable legal advice, warning against the growing trend of unverified claims gaining traction online.

Beyond the divorce rumours, Churchill revisited aspects of his personal life, including his past relationship with actress Tonto Dikeh. He noted that both parties have since resolved their differences privately, emphasizing that issues between them were personal and have been settled without external interference.

His comments also addressed public perceptions of Rosy Meurer’s role in his life. While acknowledging that she faced criticism during their relationship, Churchill downplayed claims that her support was exceptional, suggesting that such narratives have been exaggerated.

The statement has since intensified online reactions, with opinions sharply divided. While some see it as an attempt to correct misinformation, others argue that it raises fresh questions about the true nature of his relationship with Meurer.

As the debate continues to unfold, the issue has once again thrust Churchill’s private life into the spotlight, fueling ongoing conversations about celebrity relationships, public perception, and the spread of unverified information online.
