Florentino Pérez has been re-elected as president of Real Madrid, securing a fresh term at the helm of the Spanish club.
According to an official statement published on the club’s website by the Electoral Board, Pérez emerged victorious after all in-person and postal votes were counted.
“With 100% of the in-person and postal votes counted, the candidacy headed by Mr. Florentino Pérez has won the elections for President and Board of Directors of Real Madrid,” the statement read.
Pérez’s candidacy garnered 21,741 votes, representing 65% of the total ballots cast. His challenger, Enrique Riquelme, received 11,814 votes, accounting for 35%.
The victory ensures that Pérez will continue to lead the club alongside a Board of Directors that includes Vice Presidents Eduardo Fernández de Blas, Pedro López Jiménez, Enrique Sánchez González, and Enrique Pérez Rodríguez.
The newly elected board also features Secretary José Luis del Valle Pérez, along with several other members who will serve during the new administration.
