France star nets 10 goals and four assists to lead tournament, with Messi, Bellingham and Haaland trailing in star-studded rankings

France forward Kylian Mbappé has clinched the Golden Boot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with an outstanding tally of 10 goals and four assists.

The 27-year-old attacker delivered a dominant performance throughout the competition, edging Argentina captain Lionel Messi, who ended his campaign with eight goals and four assists.

England’s Jude Bellingham and Norway’s Erling Haaland followed closely in the rankings with seven goals each. However, Bellingham’s additional assist gave him the edge over Haaland in the standings.

France’s Ousmane Dembélé also impressed, recording six goals and two assists to secure a place in the top five, while England captain Harry Kane matched the six-goal mark but finished with one assist.

Spain’s Mikel Oyarzabal, who played a key role in La Roja’s World Cup triumph, contributed five goals and one assist to rank among the tournament’s elite scorers.

Further down the list, Senegal’s Ismaïla Sarr and Mexico’s Julián Quiñones each registered four goals and one assist, with Brazil’s Vinícius Júnior completing the top 10 with the same numbers.

The Golden Boot race once again showcased the brilliance of football’s biggest stars, with Mbappé underlining his status as one of the game’s most lethal forwards, while Messi continued to shine on the global stage.
