Former governor assures new members of fairness as party strengthens grassroots presence ahead of future contests

Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has formally received a group of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), in what observers describe as a sign of shifting political alignments in Kano State.

The defectors, drawn from Madobi Local Government Area, were welcomed into the NDC fold during a brief engagement, where Kwankwaso reiterated the party’s commitment to openness, fairness, and internal democracy.
