President says reforms are yielding results, pledges state police and inclusive growth as Nigeria turns a corner
President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the country is finally emerging from a prolonged period of hardship, declaring that Nigeria is “out of the dark tunnel” and on the path to recovery.
Speaking with renewed optimism, the President said the nation’s difficult reforms are beginning to deliver results, stressing that progress demands sustained hard work, unity and collective resolve. According to him, Nigeria’s future remains bright as long as citizens remain focused and move forward together.
Tinubu acknowledged the challenges of unemployment and insecurity but pledged concrete action, including the establishment of state police to strengthen security at the grassroots and local government levels. He said improved security is critical to job creation, investment and economic stability.
The President also promised that economic recovery would translate into more employment opportunities, noting that “the reward for hard work is more work,” as reforms deepen and productivity expands.
Expressing appreciation for the efforts of Nigerians, Tinubu said visible progress has already been made and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to duty. He urged political leaders and stakeholders to prioritise inclusivity by supporting young people, the underprivileged and loyal party members, while ensuring development reaches communities at the grassroots.
“Our collective task is not finished,” he said, emphasizing that national recovery must be felt by ordinary Nigerians across states and local councils.
