Onuachu, Osimhen, Olawoyin Shine in Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week

Nigerian trio earn spots in beIN Sports’ Matchday 25 selection after standout performances for Trabzonspor, Galatasaray and Rizespor.

Super Eagles stars Paul Onuachu, Victor Osimhen, and Ibrahim Olawoyin have been included in the beIN Sports Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week following their impressive performances over the weekend.

The list, released by global football statistics platform beIN Sports, featured Onuachu and Osimhen partnering in attack in a 4-4-2 formation, while Olawoyin secured a place in midfield.

The Nigerian trio were instrumental for their respective teams on Matchday 25, with Onuachu topping the headlines after scoring a brace in Trabzonspor’s 3–1 victory over Kayserispor.

The two goals took the striker’s league tally to 20 this season, placing him four goals ahead of Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov in the race for the top scorer’s award.

Galatasaray forward Osimhen was paired with Onuachu in the Team of the Week after powering his side closer to the league title by scoring the only goal in their 1–0 win over Besiktas in the Istanbul derby.

The strike marked Osimhen’s 11th league goal of the campaign and helped Galatasaray move to 61 points, maintaining their four-point lead at the top of the table.

Although Olawoyin did not directly contribute to Rizespor’s goal in their 1–0 win over Antalyaspor last weekend, his tireless performance earned him a place in the team.

During the 90-minute encounter, he completed four of five dribbles and made 34 accurate passes from 43 attempts. He was also effective in the final third, recording an 82 percent success rate after completing 14 of 17 passes.

The midfielder further contributed defensively by winning 13 duels, while also registering one interception and two clearances.

He was joined in midfield by Fenerbahce’s Matteo Guendouzi.
