AC Milan Inducts Brazilian Legend Kaká Into Hall Of Fame As Emotional Star Recreates Iconic Celebration

The former Ballon d’Or winner was honoured for his outstanding contribution to the Italian giants, where he scored 104 goals in 307 appearances and helped the club win the UEFA Champions League.

Brazilian football legend Ricardo Kaká has been inducted into AC Milan’s Hall of Fame in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the Italian club during his illustrious playing career.

The former attacking midfielder was visibly emotional as he received the prestigious honour on Saturday, ahead of AC Milan’s Serie A showdown against city rivals Inter Milan at the iconic San Siro Stadium.

Kaká, who enjoyed two spells at the Italian giants, spent seven seasons with Milan, making 307 appearances and scoring an impressive 104 goals across all competitions.

The ceremony brought back memories of some of the finest moments of his career, as the Brazilian recreated his famous goal celebration, raising both index fingers towards the sky while jogging across the pitch.

The gesture thrilled supporters who gathered to witness the recognition of one of the club’s most celebrated former players.

Kaká arrived at AC Milan in 2003 from Brazilian side São Paulo following an impressive spell in which he scored 22 goals in 49 appearances.

Milan reportedly secured his services for approximately €8.5 million, a transfer fee that proved to be one of the most profitable investments in the club’s history.

Under the ownership of Silvio Berlusconi, Kaká quickly established himself as a central figure in Milan’s midfield, combining exceptional vision, technical ability, pace and attacking intelligence.

His influence helped the Italian side win several major trophies, including the Serie A title, Coppa Italia, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.

One of the defining moments of his Milan career came in 2007 when he played a crucial role in the club’s Champions League triumph over Liverpool in Athens.

Kaká was instrumental throughout the competition, particularly in the semi-final against Manchester United, where he scored twice to help Milan secure their place in the final.

The Champions League success was especially significant for Milan after their painful defeat to Liverpool in the 2005 final, famously remembered as the 'Miracle of Istanbul'.

Kaká's outstanding performances in 2007 also earned him football's most prestigious individual honour, the Ballon d'Or.

He finished ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to claim the award, becoming one of the few players to break the dominance of the two modern football superstars.

Beyond his achievements at club level, Kaká enjoyed considerable success with Brazil's national team.

He was part of the Brazilian squad that won the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan. He also received the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2007.

His career later took him to Real Madrid, where he won the La Liga title and Copa del Rey, adding to an already impressive collection of honours.

Kaká's induction into AC Milan's Hall of Fame represents another recognition of his enduring legacy at the San Siro, where his performances, memorable goals and distinctive playing style made him a fan favourite.

For Milan supporters, his name remains closely associated with one of the club's most successful periods in European football.
