In a live interview, a Nigerian woman says repeated demands for intimacy in exchange for help pushed her to formalise the arrangement and take control of her earnings.
A Nigerian woman has sparked debate after revealing that her decision to go into the hookup industry full-time was shaped by repeated experiences with men who, she says, refused to offer financial help without demanding intimacy in return.
Speaking during a live interview with Kaptain Jeff, the woman said she initially resisted the idea of entering the industry. However, her perspective changed after noticing a consistent pattern whenever she sought assistance from men for personal needs, emergencies, or financial support.
According to her, most of the men she approached were only willing to help if she agreed to provide sexual favors, regardless of the circumstances. She said the expectation became so frequent that it left her frustrated and disillusioned.
She explained that rather than engaging in what she described as manipulative and undefined exchanges, she chose to formalise the arrangement by turning it into a paid service with clear terms. This, she said, allows her to maintain control, set boundaries, and ensure fair compensation for her time.
During the interview, the woman disclosed that she charges up to ₦1 million for a one-night engagement. She added that she has no interest in working a conventional 9–5 job that would pay a similar amount over an entire month, arguing that her current lifestyle offers higher returns, flexibility, and independence.
Her comments have since generated widespread reactions online, with many debating the social pressures, economic realities, and moral questions raised by her experience.
