The long-standing rift between music stars Peter and Paul Okoye of the defunct P-Square group may never be resolved, their eldest brother, Henry Okoye, has said, citing deep divisions and unresolved grievances within the family.

Henry expressed his concerns during an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at their father’s residence in Plateau State, where he reflected on the renewed tensions involving the famous twins and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

While acknowledging efforts by Peter to mend the fractured relationship, Henry said he remained pessimistic about the possibility of a full reconciliation, suggesting that the prolonged nature of the dispute may have caused lasting damage.

“I will be happy for them to come back together, but I don’t think it will happen,” he said, noting that Paul, once known for his kindness, had undergone a surprising change.

In an emotional appeal, Henry urged Paul to forgive his twin brother, recalling instances of support Peter had shown him in the past, including reportedly paying his hospital bills during a period of illness.

He also called on Jude, who previously managed the group, to take responsibility for restoring unity within the family. Henry alleged that Jude’s involvement contributed to widening divisions among the siblings, including disagreements over financial arrangements.

According to him, early promises made during the group’s formative years were not honoured, leading to lingering resentment. He claimed he had been promised a share in the group’s earnings, which was later dismissed.

Henry further recounted a personal financial dispute, alleging that Jude was in control of funds meant for him, a situation he said added to the family’s internal tensions.

Despite his grievances, Henry maintained that his primary desire is to see the family reunited. He disclosed that several attempts at mediation, including interventions by prominent figures, had failed to resolve the conflict.

The renewed remarks come against the backdrop of a protracted feud that has defined the relationship between the Okoye brothers for years. The initial split of P-Square in 2017 followed disagreements over management and creative direction.

Although the twins reunited in 2021, raising hopes among fans, the reconciliation was short-lived, with fresh disputes emerging in 2024.

The latest fallout escalated after Peter accused Paul of aligning with Jude to sideline him and raised concerns over alleged financial mismanagement involving the group’s royalties. Central to the dispute is Northside Music Limited, a company Peter alleged was used to collect P-Square earnings without his consent.

Paul has consistently defended Jude, insisting that he stands by him based on his understanding of the situation, and has accused Peter of contributing to the legal troubles faced by their elder brother.

Jude Okoye was later arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations involving large sums in naira and foreign currencies. He has denied the charges.

Court proceedings have further complicated the matter, with Peter acknowledging during cross-examination in 2026 that he was a co-signatory to one of the company accounts, contradicting earlier claims.

As the legal and personal disputes continue to unfold, public exchanges between Peter and Paul have deepened the divide, leaving fans uncertain about the future of the once-celebrated music duo.

Henry’s latest intervention adds to growing calls for reconciliation, even as he concedes that healing the fractured bond between his brothers may prove difficult.
