The men of the Nigerian police officers, Gombe State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old man, Musa Adamu, over an alleged violent attack on his girlfriend and the theft of ₦100,000 in Gombe.
Police said the suspect, who lives in Riyal Quarters, was apprehended after the victim filed a complaint at the Pantami Divisional Police Headquarters.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on June 9, 2026. The suspect reportedly gained entry into the woman’s residence by scaling the fence and forcing his way into her room.
He allegedly assaulted the victim and attempted to strangle her before taking ₦100,000 and fleeing when she raised an alarm.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital after police visited the scene. She has since been treated and discharged.

Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect had earlier asked the victim, a businesswoman, for money on the same day, but she refused.
