Bayelsa Police Declare BODMAS Prince Kemepadei Wanted Over Alleged Murder

High Court issues arrest warrant following the death of Patrick Peresuodei

The Bayelsa State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has declared BODMAS Prince Kemepadei wanted over the alleged conspiracy and murder of Patrick Peresuodei. The offence reportedly occurred in the Amassoma/Yenagoa area of Bayelsa State.

A High Court of Bayelsa State-issued arrest warrant authorises law enforcement to apprehend Kemepadei. He is described as an Ijaw man, 36 years old, with a round face, small mouth, thin lips, dark complexion, round chin, small head, and low forehead. His last known address is ICCH Centre, Tenacious Street, Ede-Epie, Yenagoa.

Recall that Daily Observer had earlie  reported that conflict began after Peresuodei criticised Kemepadei on social media, accusing him of exploiting young people under the guise of spirituality. On December 21, 2025, and again on January 14, 2026, Peresuodei posted messages challenging Kemepadei’s influence.

According to witnesses, on January 15, 2026, Peresuodei was apprehended by Kemepadei with the help of a local chief priest, Oyintari Agusi, and severely beaten. He sustained injuries to his neck and spinal cord and was later taken to a police station in critical condition. He was eventually admitted to the Federal Medical Centre, where doctors confirmed severe injuries. Peresuodei died on January 29, 2026, from complications related to the assault.

Following the death, the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide staged a peaceful protest at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Yenagoa, demanding a full investigation and the arrest of those involved.

However, the police have urged anyone with information on Kemepadei’s whereabouts to report to the nearest station or contact the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, Yenagoa, via 0803 358 0244.
