The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has announced the death of three of its officials and members in a fatal road accident along the Kaduna-Kachia road.

 The crash reportedly occurred near Makyali village, leaving the party mourning the loss of key grassroots figures.

The deaths were announced by Dr Sale Pashi, Chairman of the PDP Chairmen Forum, Zone 3, Kaduna State. Those involved in the accident included the party’s Secretary in Jema’a Local Government Area, Comrade Caleb I. Lot, and the PDP Women Leader, identified in the statement as Comrade Comfort.

According to Pashi, three people, including Lot, died at the scene. Other party members were also involved in the crash, although the statement did not provide further details about the circumstances of the accident or the condition of any survivors.

In his reaction, Pashi described the incident as one of the most heartbreaking moments for Jema’a Local Government, the party’s Zone 3 leadership, and the wider PDP family in Kaduna State. 

He said the deceased were loyal and committed members whose contributions to the party’s growth and grassroots activities would be remembered.

He added that their deaths represented a significant loss to the party, particularly at the local level, where their dedication and political engagement had made them valuable members of the organisation. 

Pashi also described the tragedy as a painful reminder of the fragility of human life and the grief that follows the loss of loved ones.
