
Abba Yusuf orders immediate manhunt, intensifies security patrols following tragic attack in Dorayi Chiranchi
Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has strongly condemned the killing of a woman and her six children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of the Kano metropolis, describing the incident as barbaric and unacceptable.
The governor expressed his outrage in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, in which he directed security agencies to swiftly track down and apprehend those responsible for the heinous act.
“The killing of a mother and her innocent children is barbaric, senseless, and a grave assault on our shared humanity,” the statement read.
The state government also extended its condolences to the bereaved family, residents of Dorayi Chiranchi, and the entire people of Kano State over the tragic incident.
According to reports, the attack occurred in Dorayi Chiranchi, Kumbotso Local Government Area, where a woman identified as Fatima Abubakar and her six children were killed after unknown assailants invaded their residence.
The bodies of the victims were later recovered and taken to the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, for further procedures.
Meanwhile, Governor Yusuf has ordered the Kano State Police Command to launch an immediate manhunt for the suspects. He also directed the Kano State Neighbourhood Corps to intensify patrols and community surveillance, particularly in vulnerable areas across the state.
