The Super Eagles striker scores again in Bursaspor’s 4-2 victory over Keçiörengücü, extending his remarkable scoring streak and taking his tally to 16 goals in 12 appearances.

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho continued his impressive scoring run,  finding the net in Bursaspor’s 4-2 victory over Keçiörengücü in the Turkish 1. Lig.

The Super Eagles forward scored in the 50th minute at Aktepe Stadium, helping his side regain the lead after an entertaining first half.

Keçiörengücü took an early lead in the seventh minute through an own goal by Emirhan Başyiğit, but Bursaspor responded nine minutes later when Amine Boutrah equalised. Lewis Baker restored the hosts’ advantage in the 35th minute before Oğuzcan Çalışkan levelled the contest two minutes before half-time.

Iheanacho broke the deadlock five minutes after the restart, putting Bursaspor ahead 3-2 and extending his scoring streak to 12 consecutive league matches. Lincoln then added the fourth goal to seal the victory and ensure Bursaspor took all three points.

The latest strike marks a new milestone for the Nigerian forward, who had previously scored in 11 successive league fixtures.

His consistency in front of goal has made him a key attacking figure for Bursaspor as the club continues its campaign in Turkey’s second-tier league.

Iheanacho has now recorded 16 goals in 12 appearances for the Turkish side, underlining his impressive form since joining the club.

The former Leicester City and Celtic player will look to maintain his scoring momentum as Bursaspor pursue their ambitions for the season.
